Taka found these posters at his old house in Japan.
His mother must have bought them! She loved gardening he says.
And I love these. They're copyrighted: BRITISH MUSEUM (NATURAL HISTORY)
(I have added a special note at the end of this reworked entry, please do see it!)
Those beautiful posters inside, and then there's here, outside by our front patio this Spring:
The wisteria (FUJI) has grown like crazy! LOVING it!
The roses love Taka.
All the plants Taka's put in, and I've helped here and there.
Poppies have reseeded themselves. I admit, I tried to "plant" the orange ones...
And these below that are an awesome burgundy-purple.
But they took care of themselves and, came back on their own!

In the back yard, all these more grown and blooming.

Another rose bush, this one's in the ground.
And a persimmon tree. Which sits by a japanese pear tree, which is next to a fig tree.
You can imagine we don't want to go anywhere! Our jasmine plant had been transplanted six times. Now it's finally getting to go berserk!
Before we were to leave for a couple of weeks in Japan,
Taka rearranged the succulents he's been taking care of.

Finally, not long before we left for Japan, in May this dear dog Katie was found to have terrible cancer. I've called her one of Taka's girlfriends. (The other is the girl kitty Peanut from the other neighbors)
Katie died, and then... low and behold, this brown and black pigeon came to live at our landlord's house next door. None of us have ever seen a pigeon these colors, same as Katie's!
Come July pigeon "Katie" as she is called, continues to stay as sentry it seems.
Helping to ease the heartache of losing Katie dog.
