I kept my first blog for blog for four and a half years
http://thia-thiasworld.blogspot.com/
I'm working to have it made into a book right now
but now, along with my husband Taka, we start part two of our blogging.
It began when we started our move to California.
It was full time for Taka and our then- 15 year old son Zen who would begin High School.
For me I would be going back and forth to my school-home in Japan.
I'd lived full time in Japan since 1986. More than half my life.
But, first to finish up the end of the last blog entry in the original blog I had... here are a few more photos from our trip to Montana~ which I was giving news about at the end of that blog of mine before, when suddenly I was out of space there!
Zen and Sheon~ they loved getting more sun tanning in. It was mostly clear skies while we were in Montana, at Mom's and Frank's. In Big Boulder, near Big Timber. There was a night of meteor showers they stayed up and outside to see one night. There was a little rain. And one night Coyotes howling had Zen going for a hoe to walk back to the guest house with Sheon with. What a good big-younger brother- all ready to protect his sister~ and himself I'm sure!
Friends of theirs run a horse training, riding place, and Zen and Sheon got to go on a ride into the hills there. We'd met them from years before on other horse rides~
First they make sure we aren't freaked out on their horses, or that we'll freak the horses...
It wasn't long before they all could head out~ Zen's used to watching out for HIS head!
I wish I could have gotten a photo of Zen with his horse. They both had whiskery chins!
A drink after the ride.
Mom and Frank's horses at their house were so gorgeous too. We did do a bit more than just hang out with horses though, really! We went on a hike, played tennis, golf...
Mom was pretty happy, partly cause we did get some cooking done for them.. and us! They told us we were the best guests, for all the cooking and cleaning up afterwards that we- of course- did!
I've said it a few times- it was one of our best trips to Montana. The kids were so happy with everything we did really. And Rosco the dog loved all the extra attention Taka and the kids gave him.
One week was almost enough! Can't wait till next summer to do it again~
