Mornings are getting darker little by little.
Family grows and moves, as does our garden!
I keep at work on my book, which is a little difficult making it a priority, over the garden and even the granddaughter!
Two articles I wish to share...
first was about Ischin.
One of his classmates from literature studies, wrote a long article about Ischin. Ischin mentioned me... when we used to make pizza in the old days. In a little 8" by 8" toaster oven like oven which was all I had to bake in.

Then, about Zen! June 23rd he left California on a one way ticket. He signed with an agent and packed with plans to stay indefinitely in his home country.
I went a little crazy, well freaked out really, when he said he thought he'd sign with the team in Tochigi, "next door" to Fukushima, but finally he made a contract with the team in Sapporo Hokkaido, Levanga!

Local Roundup: Santa Cruz alum Maki signs with Levanga Hokkaido, a Japanese basketball team
Zen Maki, a 2011 graduate of Santa Cruz High, signed a contract with Japan’s Levanga Hokkaido on Thursday.
The professional basketball team is located in Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido, about 700 miles north of Tokyo. Levanga Hokkaido competes in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball League and is scheduled to open its 2015-16 campaign in October.
Maki, a 6-foot-2 guard who also attended Monterey Peninsula College and Sonoma State, was born and raised in Japan, in Nishio, Aichi. He moved to Santa Cruz prior to his freshman year and played all four years on the Cardinals’ varsity team, earning a first team all-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League selection his senior year.
Maki garnered a second team all-Coast Conference selection at MPC and later Sonoma State, where he averaged 4.4 points in 20 games last season.
Maki left the United States on June 23. He signed with an agent Tuesday.
And then there are our girls~
Those are Naomi's legs, and Auntie Sheon and Kieahla. Kie-chan has ner brothers and sisters, but mostly for half the week. Otherwise we can to keep her company too!
She hasn't begun to crawl or stand yet (at 8 mos) but she ROCKS!
Back and forth, sometimes losing her balance and falling over.
And that seat-toy behind Sheon, Kie jumps almost wildly in there!
She can really holler too when she wants too!
