As of March 1st 2014... can you believe it?!

We have MOVED!!!
This makes the sixth place in seven years, we have lived.
(true the first place was a housesitting until we found our first apartment)
This is one of our new neighbors~ Katie!
This Ranch borders Corralitos and Watsonville.
A two bedroom~ I never imagined I'd love to live in a home like this but Taka and I are SO HAPPY!
It's the first time we've ever lived just the two of us!!!
It didn't take long for Katie, the owner's dog living next door,  to know she wanted to hang out with Taka! She's not a ball player, like the dogs that the guys who farm the property have.

When the farmers come with their dogs, Oso, the light colored dog, and Cubby, they can't stop themselves from listening for Taka and practically begging him to play with them. See... Oso with a tennis ball by the gate? He even puts the ball UNDER your feet- the first time he did that to me, I didn't even NOTICE it until his owner pointed it out to me, I was stepping on the ball!!

Soooo.... the reason we moved yet again. Is a great and wonderful reason!
Naomi and her fiance Karl were looking for a three bedroom house, and it's very, very hard to find affordable housing in Santa Cruz. I realized, I do believe on February 20th, that they should live in our place, a 3 bedroom, and Taka and I move out. Taka and I only needed a one or two bedroom. And our manager agreed it made sense- thank goodness! I began looking the next day 2/21. If we hadn't moved  when Naomi and Sheon moved out Taka and I would  be stuck with a 3 bedroom which we didn't need.

So... within the week we looked, it was this fifth place on Thursday the 28th that I found.
This view is what we see from our living room windows.
Actually, they didn't even have the fence built. They built that a few days later!
See the mountains off in the distance?

All the acreage out back is organic farming leased to the owner's friend. The farming, at the end of it, is Pinto Lake... which can't be swum in, but they're trying to fix it.

Looking from the road where we pull into our drive, you can see that shop there which is the owner's "Cabinet and Mill Work Company". The back of our house is up against the back of the shop, behind the shop, where we now have our little oasis.

Yes, so we we got this two bedroom house, and Karl and the girls helped us- totally- move.  We got to sleep our first night here March 2nd! You could say we have almost perfected the way to move now! You know having to drag out moving is no fun... so yeah... thanks so much to everyone!!!
And Taka got started building more new beds to start our gardening all over again. We had so many potted plants from the second floor of our last place.

And then one more great bonus!!! PEANUT! The owner's mother lives on the other side of the property and this kitty of hers has learned how much fun Taka is. I'm not jealous anymore! Right! I used to feel jealous of Taka's giving much attention to cats! But now I just love seeing them hang out!

It happened to rain lots the first days we were moving it.
It felt like we were being blessed!
