In Japan and Cali... how 2015 is getting started!

Our son Ischin has gotten engaged! He and Masumi have known one another for awhile, although I haven't gotten to meet her yet.

Seeing his smiling face, though, and hearing how happy he sounds helps make the distance less "painful" not being there to see the two of them together already! Wedding plans are for this coming August, and we'll miss most of that planning. But it does sound like all of us: Zen, Sheon, Naomi, and her husband & baby Kieahla, Taka and I will be there!

For now, California "winter" has been cool, almost cold, and for 2015 still rainless.

We've had lots of family around... Uncle Zen~ who's sweetly comfortable with little baby niece!

Everyone keeps saying "Her eyes are open!" 

And then there's that smile!

Naomi has the most adorable cushion for bathing Kieahla, 

and what baby doesn't like bathing at this age?!

It's true, so many faces, everchanging, so quickly these first months.
And with me at about one month, Kieahla happened to get a Peace sign into the photo! How "appropriate" eh?!

Then, with our baller boy...

I just had to get some use out of my camera. This game wasn't anything real special, and I'm not usually taking photos nowadays. (My handy little camera got water damage and is trash now).

Eiko-chan from Hawaii/Carmel, in town and Kieahla is just getting visitors all of the time!
